Austin Collie Injury - Indianapolis Colts Austin Collie Injured -


The Austin Collie injury occurred after he caught a pass down the middle from QB Peyton Manning. Collie was then drilled by two Eagles defenders. Quintin Mikell's appeared to have made legal contact, but Kurt Coleman appeared to have made helmet-to-helmet contact with Collie, although it's hard to tell if the contact was intentional. After the hit, Austin Collie lay motionless on the field for several minutes.

The Eagles were penalized for the Austin Collie hit and Philly fans booed the decision.

The Austin Collie injury will no doubt generate debate among fans and the media. Some will no doubt see the Austin Collie injury as yet another example of a dangerous hit that needs to be punished. Others will see as just part of the game.
