Courtney Roby was pushed into a chain gang official on the sideline during a Saints punt in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.
Official Al Nastaci, who was holding a first down marker during the play, fell to the ground and hit his head after Roby collided with him.
Paramedics rushed onto the field and Nastaci was carted off on a stretcher. He was taken to a local hospital and is reportedly conscious and in stable condition. The game was delayed for 15 minutes.
